How does your sun cream appeal to those who partake in action sports?
SETT sunscreens provide great UVA and UVB protection in and out of the water and come in both SPF50 and SPF30.  Being 100% mineral, they are completely reef safe and contain no chemicals which harm coral reefs and aquatic life.  Because they don’t contain harsh chemicals, they are seriously good for sensitive skin.  Our SETT SPF30 mineral Face Stick is very water resistant and so perfect for longer sessions in the water, plus it’s guaranteed not to run into your eyes and sting! Lastly, our SPF20 Lip Balm completes the sunscreen range.  SETT sunscreens are the perfect companion for action sports enthusiasts and rub in virtually clear, so no white chalky residue in sight!

What materials are you using? Any innovations to talk about?
We’ve recently launched our SPF50 mineral sunscreen in 100ml pouches which use 50% less packaging as well as 100ml aluminium bottles which contain no plastic.  Both are refillable in refill shops which stock the SETT 5 Litre Bulk container. We’ve also launched a new rash cream called SETT ACTIVE.  Designed to prevent skin rash caused by chafing – and that includes wet suite rash! And if you’re skin does get chafed, SETT ACTIVE will soothe the burn and help your skin heal more quickly. It’s another must have for surfers and anyone who wears a wetsuite!

How do you address sustainability/eco friendliness in your products?
As mentioned above, we’re looking for increased sustainability in everything we develop – hence the launch of reduced packaging pouches and non plastic aluminium bottles.  Plus, we’re about to introduce a recycling scheme for our pouches whereby customers get 20% off their next pouch when they return the old one for responsible recycling.  Our new SETT Active cream is avilable in 60ml aluminium tins, so again we’re avoiding plastic.

Any exciting marketing campaigns coming up for your product line?
We’re at Boardmasters again this year and can’t wait! We advertise in nationals and some magazines as well as sponsoring up and coming water sports teams.

What other benefits, apart from sun protection, does your product offer? 
Our sunscreens contain Kalahari Melon Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil and Aloe Vera – all of which will nourish, hydrate and moisturise your skin whilst it’s being protected from the sun!
