Retail Buyers Guide: Water Helmets S/S 2024 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand: Liquid Force
Interviewee: Rich Jonas, International Sales and Marketing Coordinator
What are the main trends in water sports helmets?
We continue to see a bigger uptake in people wearing helmets year on year. Originally in the cable market but we now also see more foilers worried about being hit in the head with their foil.
What type of customers are driving your sales?
The cable park category is our main focus for helmets and is driving our sales. With most cable parks having helmets as a mandatory requirement to wear one, usually the first item someone buys when learning cable is a helmet.
What were your biggest sellers in SS23 and why?
Our Hero and Flash models are our best sellers year after year. If you want to go bright and need a little extra comfort go for a bolder print, the Flash is for you. Want to keep it simple and save a few bucks? The Hero is your Hero.
How are you segmenting your SS24 collection and what are the price points?
For 24 we keep the same line structure with 3 models; Nico, Flash and hero. The Nico comes in at $89.99, Flash at $85.99 and the Hero comes in at $74.99
What materials are you using in your SS24 collection?
Our helmets are constructed of a dual-density foam with a tough, yet flexible shell for great comfort with all the protection you need. We add our Terry cloth liner for improved fit and comfort, all wrapped in a CE certified package.
What colours / prints are you offering in your SS24 collection?
For 24 the Nico helmet comes in black with killer art by Nane. We then have 4 print versions of the Flash helmet with one solid black colour way. In the Hero we 4 solid colours for riders who want to keep it subtle.
How are you supporting retailers to sell your water helmets?
We are supporting our retailers with strategically placed carryover models. In a post covid world most industries face the same issue of overstocked retailers in certain categories. To aid this we are carrying over specific models to allow the retailer more time to sell the product.
What is your situation regarding stock and deliveries?
In stock and ready to roll!
