Jones Technical Snow Backpacks 2024/25

Retail Buyers Guide:  Technical Snow Backpacks 2024/25 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  JONES
Interviewee: Jones Marketing

What are are the main customers’ demands when buying a technical snow pack?
Customers are drawn to technical snow packs that are comfortable, durable and offer a feature set and pockets that carry gear in a way that feels organized and secure. The aesthetics of a pack are also important as many customers want the pack to complete the look of their outerwear kit.

What were your best sellers in 2023/24 and why?
Our best selling pack is the DSCNT 24L as it offers a complete feature set for a full day tour but it’s small enough to also use as a side country pack.

In which type of pack do you expect your biggest growth?
As more and more skiers and riders enter the backcountry we expect demand will continue for mid-size technical packs that offer a complete feature set at an affordable price price point.

What are the technical highlights of your 2024/25 collection?
The Jones DSCNT pack line gets a complete redesign for 24/25. The model names and volumes remain the same, but just about everything else about the packs has been updated. The DSCNT 32L, 25L and 19L all have new shapes and the back panels have been re-contoured for a more ergonomic fit. Other tweaks and new additions include a bigger goggle pocket, removable ice axe loops and front/back daisy loops for attaching gear. The DSCNT 32L also features an external water bottle holder and a redesigned back panel opening.

What materials are you using in your 2024/25 collection? Any new ones?
We are using the same fabrics as 23/24: 100% recycled PVC-Free 600D Ripstop polyester, 100% recycled ballistic nylon bottom fabric with a PFC-Free DWR and a 100% recycled polyester liner fabric.

What color palettes, prints or patterns are you featuring in your 2024/25 collection?
All of our pack models are black as it is the most universal color.

Are you implementing sustainability in your products and production processes?
Yes, all our packs are made out of 100% recycled fabrics and treated with PFC-free DWR.

What are your marketing stories for 2024/25?
We will promote our completely redesigned pack line as the ultimate backcountry snowboarding packs that offer responsibly made high performance for riders looking for everything from a compact side country pack to an all-day tour pack that can carry a full load of alpine climbing gear.
