What are the main customers’ demands when buying a snowboarding helmet?
Fit is important to feel comfortable all day on or off the slopes. Light weight and style
Do you target specific customers / rider types?
Yes sure, as a Product centered Brand, we offer a very large line Helmets for all kinds of terrain or style of Riding. From Backcountry to Freeride and Freestyle specific models, Giro Sport design provide Models with design and features meant to serve these typologies of practice for users, their needs of features and benefit as well as the style that works best for them. The Core rider will look for style and minimalism and will enjoy fit and comfort as your gear becomes a second part of yourself, when you focus on progression. The more experience riders, may be more demanding in terms of features, weight to answer an extensive use on the Mountain, in the park or on the slopes teaching the new generation. We got them all.
What were your biggest sellers in 2023/24 and why?
Usually our new products find great traction from the get go. The Owen is meeting massive success as it delivers and very compact, ultra stylish, core style with the best qualite features of our Brand, with our proprietary Sperical Technology powered by Mips, a ball and socket construction that displaces impact and forces.
In which type of helmet do you expect the biggest growth?
The All mountain styles, like the Tenet as it suits a large majority of user without being a mainstrem product.
What are the design and material highlights of your 2024/25 collection?
The new Tenet model is an Hybrid shell, that puts together durability with a Hard shell upper part and keeps the weight to its optimum with in-Mold lower sidewalls. A thermostat control to make sure it adapts to your temperature control needs and a Fleece lining to optimize confort and moisture management
What colours and designs are you featuring in your 2024/25 collection? Any standout collaborations?
Keeping the classics with Black and light greys and introducing new tone with our Matte Green and “matte Dark shark” colors While embracing some bold colors on the Jackson with the Cloud Marble graphics. Of course all Helmet graphic and design find perfect merchandising colors fit in our rich goggle collection
Are you implementing sustainability in your products and production processes?
It may take some time for the most interesting things we look at to meet industry standards. When you talk about helmets you talk safety equipment and certifications. There should be no compromise on safety.
What are your marketing stories for 2023/24?
