What is the overall theme behind your 2024/25 outerwear range? From which big trends do you take your inspiration? take your inspiration?
Oakley’s vision for the 2024/25 outerwear collection is thoughtfully designed to cater to the various disciplines with a special emphasis on backcountry adventures. We design gear that meets the unique demands of backcountry explorations to include enhanced durability, weather resistance, and versatility. Our holistic approach to offering an all-mountain experience expands to our helmet and goggles and accessories providing a complete and integrated experience. The big trend we are seeing is to have a seamless on and off mountain experience. With that, we design versatile pieces that aim to offer both performance and style for complete versatility. Our design focus is on adaptability and customization for our wearers, so they have the flexibility to adjust based on conditions or personal preferences. Our design aesthetics are inspired by the natural world drawing inspiration from nature with colors, organic lines and shapes and matched with our helmets and goggles the approach is visually appealing and harmonious pieces. So, the combination of functionality, style and nature-inspired design elements really embraces the spirit of outdoor exploration.
What new fits / silhouettes are coming out in 2024/25? What pant and jacket styles are most important in your range?
Recognizing that when it comes to mountain disciplines, one size certainly doesn’t fit all. Finding the right fit is as crucial as the functional details, and this season we’ve paid special attention to tailoring our products to meet the distinct needs of each gender and mountain activity. Recognizing the unique requirements of women, we’ve designed silhouettes that cater to their specific needs. Our Slim fit is designed to be trim and close to the body, ensuring a snug yet flexible fit that facilitates freedom of movement. On the other hand, our Regular Fit strikes a balance, providing comfort while allowing ample freedom of movement. This fit loosely follows the body shape, delivering the ideal combination of style and functionality. These two defined silhouettes not only compliments their activity but also enhances their overall mountain experience.
What new colours / prints are you introducing?
In crafting our collections, we draw from the latest color trends and from the rich palette found in nature’s organic elements and shapes. Earth tones and shades become our canvas, mirroring the subtle beauty of the world outside. Our prints are visual narratives of the intricate patterns and textures found in nature. Our designs reflect the organic and harmonious aesthetics of the natural world and altered nature, whether it’s the swirls in rocks, the intricate lines on bark or leaves, or how the light plays on the water. The result of our collection showcases the relationship of fashion to nature, celebrating the vast expanse of the great outdoors.
Any *NEW* technical stories with regards to fabrics and materials?
