We believe that embracing agility and introducing fresh pieces in short cycles, such as monthly capsules, will ensure our inventory remains dynamic, enticing existing and new customers with a constant stream of innovation. With a documented history of meeting consumer demands and what they seek in the brand, these items are a reliable foundation for our inventory.

For SS25, the Lightning Bolt collection stays true to its vintage American roots while embracing a global lifestyle. Known for its aesthetic that combines beauty and sport, the brand’s offering spans ready-to-wear, surfing, swimming, staying comfortable, and accessories, enriched by exclusive collaborations with like-minded people. Lightning Bolt’s vision of human empowerment and spontaneous spirit shines through, inspiring risk-taking and fearless living. Lightning Bolt’s narrative thrives through collaborations, social media, and the designer’s “Ageless” spirit. With its nomadic pop-up retail concept, the Europe-based brand reaches new destinations, offering its collection in concept stores, online, and through selected specialist retailers and global partners.
Has Surf Apparel distanced itself from streetwear and outdoor influences in favor of heritage surf roots?
Surf apparel has indeed shifted focus in recent years, with many brands distancing themselves from streetwear and outdoor influences to re-emphasize their heritage surf roots. This trend is evident as companies prioritize designs that reflect the authentic lifestyle, incorporating vintage aesthetics and traditional surf culture elements. It’s necessary to reconnect with the core values and original spirit of surfing, which include a deep respect for the ocean and a laid-back attitude. This movement away from the broader streetwear and outdoor fashion trends allows surf brands to reinforce their unique identity and appeal to consumers who seek genuine, surf-inspired apparel.
The fabric spectrum has expanded from the cotton or poly options. Which materials are rising/declining within your ranges?
Our range’s fabric spectrum has expanded beyond traditional cotton and polyester options. Rising materials include recycled and sustainable fabrics such as recycled polyester, organic cotton, and innovative eco-friendly materials like Tencel and hemp. These fabrics align with our commitment to sustainability and offer high performance while minimizing environmental impact. On the decline are conventional, non-recycled polyester and other synthetic fabrics that are less eco-friendly, as well as the traditional use of more than 2 mixed fibers makes the recycling process very hard, almost impossible, and expensive. This shift reflects our dedication to producing high-stylish apparel that is gentle on the environment.
Which color/prints will you offer in SS25?
For SS25, we are excited to offer a vibrant and diverse palette of colors and prints that capture the essence of the season and our vintage Americana roots. Our color range includes sun-faded pastels like soft coral, mint green, sky blue, and bold, as well as classic hues such as navy, crimson, and mustard yellow. These colors evoke a nostalgic yet fresh feel, perfect for the adventurous spirit of our brand. In terms of prints, we feature a reinterpretation of some classic print mix of retro-inspired patterns.
