Which products sold best in the winter 2023/2024 and why?
PWE: In Snow Safety, the collection of AVABAG LiTRIC backpacks was super successful in the sales season 23/24. The product combines safety features, light weight and ease of use in a unique setup that meets the needs of touring skiers and freeriders worldwide. Specifically the use of an electric supercap system that enables multiple inflations in the field and allows for real inflation training, can improve the safety in alpine winter terrain. On the samehand side, LiTRIC is one of the lightest systems and products on the market and helps users to enjoy skitouring without sacrificing comfort and safety.

Are you feeling the impact of climate challenges (unpredictable conditions, snow at higher altitudes, more expensive costs) on your product demand and development?
PWE: From a management point of view it is much easier and less of a financial risk, to focus on products that are not depending on snow. We all know how unpredictable winters have become. Still we believe that we can have an impact on our future and we love winter sports. Also, the climate change we are experiencing can bring us periods with a lot of snow. That is why we are committed to creating snow safety tools also in the future.

Which product do you expect to grow the most in your 2025/2026 collection?
PWE: We have seen a fantastic launch of the AVABAG LiTRIC last year and we are expecting further growth in this section. Besides this we have reworked our snow safety shovel collection for 25/26 with two new models to exactly fit to specific target groups. The ORTOVOX PRO RESCUE and PRO GUIDE shovels provide the most up-to-date combination of weight, performance and features in accordance to latest standards and scientific insights.

What are the technical highlights of your 2025/26 avalanche backpacks?
PWE: The LiTRIC System remains technically unchanged for the 25/26 sales season. The technical highlights are best described with its ease of use and improved safety functionality. For ease of use, for example the repacking of the airbag works by simple stuffing, the compartment of the airbag is secured against false openings by a specific latch… the handle secures with a simple rotation, and many more smart features. We have focused on “ease of use”, because in many aspects, this will improve the safety situation for the user. If it is easy to train… you will probably train…

What are the technical highlights of your other avalanche equipment (shovel, probe, transceiver) of your 2025/26 collection?
PWE: ORTOVOX has set standards with avalanche shovels in the past, and we are now taking the next step with new models that focus on the essential specifications for their user – without cost-cutting. Pricing is tough in this segment… still we are not sacrificing the right material or the right features, like our clearing function, a rubberized grip zone, etc. In the beacon segment, we are still the only brand that offers a transceiver with voice navigation. It is like a signature for our snow safety products: at ORTOVOX, you will always find intuitive products that are supporting the user in case of an emergency.

What non-avalanche products stand out from your 2025/2026 collection?
The Ravine Series is our first collection that unites our entire freeride family. It‘s a dedicated series for backcountry enthusiasts and presents freeriding in all its facets.
