JONES SPLITBOARDING F/W 2025/26 PREVIEW

Retail Buyers Guide:  Splitboarding F/W 2025/26 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  JONES
Interviewee: Brand Marketing

How was last season in the splitboard market?
The splitboard market continues to contract, but our splits remain in demand as we offer some of the most responsibly made and high-performance splits on the market.

With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
We’re happy to say the prices on our splitboards have not increased from the previous year. We have an excellent relationship with our board manufacturer which allows us to work together to make sure our pricing is correct while ensuring on time delivery and high quality product sourcing.

E-commerce Vs. physical retail, how are you balancing both channels?
Having a balance of both channels in today’s market is key for success. Retailers are where most sales happen and are our best way of following consumer trends. E-commerce allows us to support consumers who may not have easy access to physical retail and allows us to stock sizes in boards that retailers may not have enough demand for.

How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
As in all categories we are supporting retailers by making sure they have everything they need from Jones to market our products. We delivered marketing and sales assets earlier than ever this winter and will continue to do so in the coming years. Our main line of splitboards has remained carry over for the last few seasons (with the exception of a few models) and will do so for winter 25/26 as well. We want to support retailers by allowing them to continue to sell splits that they have stock of instead of adding pressure with new models.

What unique brand messages are you focusing on for the 2025/2026 splitboard season?
One of the primary focuses of our 25/26 splitboard marketing will be the redesign of our popular Frontier 2.0 and Women’s Dream Weaver 2.0 splitboards. Both these models share a new tapered directional freeride shape that’s purposefully designed to be easy to manoeuvre in all all-conditions and float like a dream in deep pow.

What about new board construction, innovation, or shape trends? Any big advancements in functionality? Skinning, transitions, etc, as well as riding? Any specific effort on ranges for 25/26? If yes, where and why?
The redesigned Frontier 2.0 and Dream Weaver 2.0 Splits feature a new shape that has a slightly wider waist width and more taper than the previous shape. The shape is designed to offer more float and volume at a shorter board length. We have also improved our pre-cut skin sizing. We have a great relationship with our manufacturer, Pomoca, and have worked closely with them to make sure our skin sizing is as tight as possible out of the box.

Are you using any new materials in your splitboard for 25/26? If so, what, and why? We’re interested in anything new in inserts / edges / cores / sidewalls / glue / resin/ wood types / base material / top sheet / wax / etc..
Our new  splitboard models will be now built with Bcomp Carbon / Flax stringers that improve the vibration dampening and torsional flex of the boards both in touring or ride mode. By blending the carbon with flax the stringer has a lower carbon footprint than a 100% carbon stringer.

Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
We continue to feature simple and timeless graphics on our splitboard models that avoid trendy imagery as we understand most people keep their splitboards for several seasons.
