WESTON SPLITBOARDING F/W 2025/26 PREVIEW

Retail Buyers Guide:  Splitboarding F/W 2025/26 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  Weston
Interviewee: Sean Eno, Director of Marketing

How was last season in the splitboard market?
Last season was very challenging in the splitboard market. Many retailers had difficulty in moving product, but we are seeing a change in trends as we move through the 24/25 season.

With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
Unfortunately no, prices will likely increase again as the political situation in the US and proposed tariffs begin to roll out.

What are the major trends you’re seeing with product pricing in the splitboard market?
We’re seeing a tough struggle between helping the industry move remnant inventory from last year which is forcing a discount while the manufacturing costs are increasing and forcing a hike in prices.

E-commerce Vs. physical retail, how are you balancing both channels?
We’ve doubled down on our grassroots efforts as we still see engaged retail as a very important part of the market.

How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
We’ve been rolling out our free Backcountry 101 programs to help reduce barriers for new participants to the sport. Additionally, as we try to move through the economic uncertainty, we’ll be holding about 50% of the line as carry over graphics for the 25/26 season.

What unique brand messages are you focusing on for the 2025/2026 splitboard season?
In 25/26 we’ll be aiming to make our line more viable to more people. The Ridgeline and Riva will be consolidating into one model under the Gnarnia with expanded size runs to create a more unisex approach. The same will be happening under the Rise and Range as they combine under the Dream Machine.

What about new board construction, innovation, or shape trends? Any big advancements in functionality? Skinning, transitions, etc, as well as riding? Any specific effort on ranges for 25/26? If yes, where and why?
No new major innovations here.

Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
We’ll be carrying over most of the 24/25 line, but with refreshed artist style collabs with John Fellows on the Gnarnia and Dream Machine.

Key Products:

Gnarnia:
The unified and souped up version of the Ridgeline and Riva, this board will now feature our S-Weave Carbon to increase energy and longevity of the board’s pop as well as a slight bump in stiffness. The will be our go to freeride model.
