Quiksilver Sells Out First Ever Vintage Collection In 24 Hours
The Quiksilver vintage collection was filled with 150 unique pieces comprising iconic styles sourced from the Australian retail sporting brand’s archive, thrift stores, and collectors across the globe.
Press Release: Surf and snow leader Quiksilver’s first-ever vintage collection has sold out in only 24 hours across Europe, after debuting online and in one retail store on Friday. Featuring some of the most exciting and iconic pieces from the brands 50-year fashion history – it was the first time the leading surf and snow brand has ever curated a full vintage collection for fans to shop.
Quiksilver Vintage comprised 150 products handpicked and globally sourced by the in-house design team who scoured thrift stores, vintage collector’s personal collections, and Quiksilver’s design archives for the ultimate pieces. Each one-off item was certified authentic and was available to buy online and from one Boardriders store from Friday afternoon.
The entire Quiksilver Vintage collection sold out in 24 hours online across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with limited pieces still available in the US online and at the Malibu Boardriders store. Attracting fans purely through Instagram teases, fan favourites included the 7.67 Tee (official merch from the 1986 amateur world championships in Cornwall) and the All Down the Line Boardshort (designed for the 1990 release of the Quiksilver film All Down The Line).
Rooted in Quiksilver’s surfing background, the curated collection featured unique nostalgic pieces from oversized jackets to undersized board-shorts, with wild colours, trippy patterns, and unorthodox fits. Further key pieces included the Little Mysto Jacket, Skulldrag Boardshorts, and Mercury Fleece, with prices ranging from £20 to £125.
Following the success of this inaugural Vintage collection, Quiksilver will be curating further Vintage-only collections within the next year. Fans can sign up to the mailing list at Quiksilver.com to be the first to find out when the next drop will land.
