Volcom’s True Conversation To Be Shown On Fuel TV’s Fresh@5
Volcom’s ‘True Conversation’ series is to be shown on Fuel TV on Fridays in the Fresh@5 slot. The 8 episode video podcast series, hosted by Fat Tony, focuses on the stories and experiences of BIPOC Americans who work and participate in action sports.

FUEL TV TEAMS UP WITH VOLCOM FOR “TRUE CONVERSATION”
8 Episode Series Illuminates the BIPOC Experience in Action Sports
FUEL TV and Volcom have struck a distribution partnership to bring Volcom’s ‘TRUE CONVERSATION’ video podcast series to FUEL TV’s worldwide audience, it was announced today by Don Meek, Global Chief Content Officer at FUEL TV.
“When we first heard about ‘True Conversation’ from the team at Volcom we knew it was an initiative that would resonate with our global community of passionate action sports participants.” said Meek in making the announcement. “And while this series is focused on the experiences of BIPOC American athletes, musicians and artists in and around action sports, the subject of racial justice is universal, and a conversation that we want to be a part of around the world”
Hosted and executive produced by acclaimed rapper Anthony “Fat Tony” Obi, the goal of each episode is to share perspectives that are generally avoided in the mainstream culture. This is part of a bigger anti-racist effort and one step in creating a more inclusive environment around the things people love to do.
“It’s been great hosting ‘True Conversation,’ and I’m honored to have created the show with Volcom,” said Fat Tony. “My friends at Volcom fully got behind this, and it was incredible to have so many talented skaters, surfers, artists, actors, and more share their truth.”
Episode 1 of “True Conversation” will premiere this Friday 5 March as part of FUEL TV’s “FRESH@5” programming initiative, with each of the 7 subsequent episodes premiering on Fridays at 5pm. The series will also be available on FUEL TV+ the day after each premier. In the first episode Fat Tony discusses the experience of Black snowboarders in the industry with legendary guests Russell Winfield, Gabrielle Maiden and Selema Masekela.
