To coincide with global leaders attending the G7 Summit being hosted in Finisterre’s coastal home of Cornwall this summer, the B Corp certified cold water surf and adventure brand continues to prioritise the environment by presenting Sea 7; an online ocean activist training camp and debate series, taking place from 8th – 11th June.

Our global climate control system, covering more than two-thirds of the Earth’s surface, the ocean is also our solace and playground, providing the founding inspiration for Finisterre. To safeguard and improve ocean health we must ensure conversations lead to positive actions at a global level.

Connecting and arming an international audience with the facts, inspiration and a means to stand up and fight for the health or our oceans, Sea 7 will incorporate talks from experts on the 7 key ocean issues alongside workshops, take-away learnings and activism tools. From sailors, to surfers, to those who prefer to watch the waves from the shore, if we connect with the sea, we will love it. And if we love something, we will always protect it.

‘As much as G7 is billed as a global power gathering, Sea 7 is all about motivating and inspiring local communities to stand up and take action around key issues relating to ocean health and recovery. Never more so is this needed than now.’ Finisterre founder, Tom Kay.

As we enter the United Nation’s decade for the oceans, join Finisterre in debating the key issues affecting the health of our seas. To learn more and register to take action, visit: www.finisterre.com/pages/Sea7
