Preview: Next Summer, June 27-28 in Chambery, France
Next Summer starts today. The show is being held now, rather than on its previous dates, to fit better with the industry’s ordering cycle and for retailers, it’s just before France’s busy summer vacation period.
The show takes place in Chambery which offers good access to both mountain and urban retailers. The last show in Albertville in September was attended by 805 retailers and 150 brands. For this next event, 312 brands and 932 retailers from the hiking, climbing, running, and bike categories have signed up and will bring together a great number of outdoor sports industry professionals into the 7000 sq meter exhibition space.
Within the show, The Fresh Zone, as always, will be dedicated to young companies, so far Thermalli, Lokki, Ecience, altor and Packen with their exciting offerings are signed up. The new Expo Shoes wall will present all the latest footwear; Tent Expo will contain the all the tent brands; and the food-truck area will offer local and international cuisine so that everyone can find something to their liking.
Conferences are planned t take place with industry professionals on various current topics in the mountain market – the program will be released soon. After hours, the summer party will take place on the first evening from 6pm to welcome all exhibitors and retailers and enable them to interact in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. The Savoiexpo exhibition halls are a 10 min drive from Chambery city centre and train station. It’s a 1 hour drive from Lyon Airport and 25 minutes from Bourget du Lac airport.
