How was the 24/25 baselayer market
We saw our new Airblaster Base Layer Separates in Men’s, Women’s and Youth sell in very strongly in the first year, and look forward to bringing more energy into this category. Ninja Suit remains Airblaster’s bread and butter, leading the way towards fun and function in the base layer space

Are there any new trends in base layers?
Super fun prints—built on a solid baseline of functional performance—continue to trend up for Airblaster in the base layer category. Like socks, base layer is a safe place to be expressive and wild, since base layer is under cover most of the day, so to speak. Even for those who prefer invisibility over visibility in their outerwear game, most people have fun popping a little base layer zing in the lodge and for the apres game!

What’s your base layer strategy for 2025/26?
Airblaster is continuing to place our Ninja Suit as the ultimate all weather base layer solution for the entire family. 2526 will be the second season for our Separates offering, which we are confident will continue to see continued growth and penetration in the wider base layer market, bringing fun prints and accessible price points.

What are the key materials you are using?
Most widely used material is Air Tech, our trademark 4-way stretch poly/spandex blend. Combined with dialed fits, this 4-way stretch blend is provides the right mix of easy style and tech performance. For nature lovers, we have 4-way stretch Merino / Tencel / Elastane blend for increased durability and hand feel, as well as sustained odor resistance. Two proprietary recycled fabrications straddle the line between base layer and mid layer: Our recycled Dry Tech stretch woven and recycled Air Tech knit micro fleece have 3D performance.

Do you have any tech innovations for 2025/26?
At the apex end of the spectrum, new Airblaster Ninja Suit Pro materials—both Dry Tech stretch woven, and Air Tech stretch knit—are 92% and 94% recycled, respectively. Both have dual-density brushed micro fleece next-to-skin side for soft touch and amazing wicking and warming capabilities: Areas of low pile allow for almost unrestricted air transmission and moisture transport, while creating structure to trap warm air next to skin when covered with a shell.

What colours and patterns are you working with?
Airblaster is bringing colors and prints from Mild to completely Wild. Our business is evenly split between print and solid. For more alpine-oriented customers, our Merino Ninja Suit and Ninja Suit Pro are offered in solids and tonal color blocks, respectively, and accommodate preferences from MILD to WILD. For our ultimate fun-timing board dorks, the breadth of Airblaster Air Tech colors and prints is both deep and wide: From REAL TREE APX® legitimate hunting concealment, to Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) MELONS, to HONEY BUCKET ultimate potty performance, we go fun or go home.
