Brand: Airblaster
Interviewee: Airblaster Marketing
What are the main customers’ demands when buying snow goggles?
Simple, functional, fog-free goggles at a fair price. Secondarily, brand loyalty plays a big role, as goggle straps have prominent and highly visible brand placement.
What were your biggest sellers in 2023/24? Why?
Airblaster Air Goggle was our largest seller, due to high tech fog free performance, and classic / timeless aesthetic appeal.
What type of snow goggles from your 2024/2025 collection do you expect to grow the most?
Rose Blue Chrome lens has been very hot for us, especially for riders who snowboard often in flat light conditions.
What are the technical highlights of your 2024/25 collection?
Airblaster Air Goggle are the most helmet compatible goggle on the market. Rather than focus on a big deep frame with a lot of structure plus a super large lens, we focus on a flexible frame that fits closer to the face, allowing the same field of vision without a massive lens. Less is more, aka less to break or slow you down, and more function. Our Air Goggles are made in Japan, not China, to assure the most precise / tech function.
What construction techniques and materials are you using in your 2024/25 goggle collection?
100% Japan-made frame and lens components, for the absolute best precision, function, and durability.
What colours and designs are you featuring in your 2024/25 collection? Any standout collaborations?
NIRKS, aka Nick Dirks collaboration is on point, featuring a CHAINZ logo and mellow racing stripes that are as savage as the Air Blaster Air Goggle is functional. Purple frames have been strong for us.
Are you implementing sustainability in your products and production processes?
The best way to truly improve sustainability is through extending product durability and life cycle. Since day 1, Airblaster has created nearly indestructible goggles with timeless aesthetic appeal. As a result, we currently sell more replacement lenses than new goggles, proving that our goggles last longer, and our customers don’t need to buy goggles as often, just replacement lenses. Like great bindings, all of our goggle components are compatible year over year, allowing you to customize, replace, or upgrade at will.
What are your marketing stories for 2024/25?
Nick Dirks collaboration goggle is hot for the freestyle and street minded riders who use goggles when its snowing. Freedom of choice, Airblaster has simplified the goggle line, focusing primarily on our most popular strap design, black/bone Airpill logo, available with many different frame colors / finish / lens. Very modular combo with complete compatibility between goggle models from current and previous seasons.
How are you helping retailers to sell this category?
Delivering quality product on time.
What is your situation regarding stock and deliveries?
We never take an aggressive position on stock, so prebook is the best way to assure securing the Airblaster product you need. Delivery is excellent, currently exceeding expectations this season and into the future.
