How was the women’s snow outerwear market in 2023/24
The Softgoods Outerwear Market is a lot depending on snow situation – neverless we see a pretty stable market from the consumer side – but overstocks in the market are still an issue where the industry has to work on long term – to sell the right amount of products in and explaining the functions to consumers even better to create demand.

What is the overall theme behind your 2025/26 outerwear range? From which big trends do you take your inspiration?
Burton’s theme this year is Ride to Paradise, and the idea that paradise is not a place, but a state of mind. We wanted to make sure anyone can have their needs met at Burton so inclusivity for all shapes and sizes was also a big driver for us. (Clive – Please note this is the same as the Mens!)

What new fits / silhouettes are coming out in 2025/26? What pant and jacket styles are most important in your range?
Womens reserve has a great range of options this year. We still have our classic slimmer and regular cuts, that have had a great refresh but we’re also introducing some women’s specific relaxed fits. It’s really exciting as often if women want something in a more relaxed style, they shop in the mens sections and size down. Now we’re catering to this customer and can give them that relaxed freedom they’re looking for that is fully designed to womens bodies. We also have the broadest options we have ever had, with variations in insulated, shell, short, tall and inclusive sizing from XXS – XXL

What new colours / prints are you introducing?
Our colour palette in Reserve is fully gender neutral. So we have the same options to the mens in soft sage, glow green, washed lavender, sunrise coral, light teal, prism violet, and fiesta red. The prints live in the same families but with a few different options in prism pro, city streets and floral blur.

Any *NEW* technical stories with regards to fabrics and materials?
Refreshing the entire classics line gave us the chance to kick up the level of our tech across the board. All our Reserve products have 20K/20K or Gore waterproof rating. Our new stretch options, which are found in the womens slim pants, bibs and jacket have an amazing soft hand feel. It’s really nailed the demand between comfort, style and function.

Any trends that your brand is moving away from?
We’ve increased the rise across all of our womens pants. The new reserve line sits a little below the old marcy high rise style. We’ve seen a big increase in demand for this cut. It’s really comfortable and you can throw yourself around with far more coverage against the snow.

Reserve 2L 3-in-1 Jacket:
This jacket features an inner layer that is a pop in insulator that can also be worn on it’s own as a regular jacket. It’s taken some inspiration from our vers-heat jacket that has been a favourite womens street style for us for some years. Layering up or down is really key to many women on the mountain and we can’t wait to have this option within a technical jacket.

Reserve 2L Bib Pant:
This bib feels and looks great to wear, and everyone rides their best when they’re loving their kit. It’s a regular cut, that definitely a little bit looser than options we’ve had in the past. The jogger cuffs make it feel really modern and a fresh kick into womens outerwear. The green and black blocking is a personal favourite and the peach echo is going to jump off the shelves.

Reserve 2L Insulated Stretch Slim Jacket:
This jacket is the real every day to mountain option that can be used as happily in the city as up in the mountains. This jacket features stretch panels within the lining to maximise on the exterior stretch fabrication and the slightly brushed finish keeps it nice and quiet.
