How was last season in the snowboard market?
As we all know the snow conditions haven’t been as good as the previous season. The market has evolved as we had hoped it would: it’s now more open minded to different shapes and riding styles, and there is an increased focus on developing products more specific to customer’s needs. Freeride boards are now common place and we feel it’s an excellent time in snowboarding for ‘duprazing’ to make its mark. The main challenge for us has been to get our message out to to snowboarders who are looking for a unique shape that will redefine their concepts of freeriding and snow surfing. We plan to address this by expanding our media department to create more quality content and improve our messaging.

With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
Our biggest challenge this season has been the industry wide increases and how to minimize the impact on our customers

What are the major trends you’re seeing with product pricing in the snowboard market?
Finally the prices of the snowboards themselves are increasing, when so many accessories around the boards had big increases over the years. That’s not shocking.

E-commerce Vs. physical retail, how are you balancing both channels?
E-commerce is strong for us, cause there are many countries and areas where we do not have retailers. Buying your first Dupraz is more than buying any other product, it is like joining a tribe, a true community of riders where the D1 is the membership and recognition sign of “those who know” … The D1’s worldwide extra-ordinary word to mouth reputation perfectly works for e-commerce sales, but for sure it’s great when that experience starts through the local shop. We just LOVE when retailers are selling our boards, as specialists and technical advisers.

How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
We bring a different product, original in it’s shape and approach. A product ultra efficient fully pleasing the retailer’s client appreciating to be surprised by a retailer’s technical advice. A product which is not sold everywhere, not sold by anyone with broken prices even on the web, and with a good margin for the retailer to make money. Our snowboards have also an history grounded in the history of our own sport as no other snowboard on the market. They are super solid and lasting for years keeping their performances, etc etc … only proven things with hudge reputation worldwide.

What trends or developments are you seeing with regards to board construction, shapes, and general innovation? How is this shaping your 25/26 range?
We have seen lots of trends come and go through the years … We are ultra pleased with the shape of our boards and their ride, and are more focused on improving the quality of our product with mixing parameters…

Anything new concerning sustainability and related products or construction you would like to highlight?
We work closely with production to make the best snowboards right here in Europe. Year on year there are small improvements in construction methods and materials which ensure Dupraz boards deliver long lasting high performance.

Are you using any new materials in your hardware for 25/26? If so, what and why? We’re interested in anything new in inserts / edges / cores / sidewalls / glue / resin/ wood types / base material / top sheet / wax / etc..
We keep on using the very best materials on the market, from the very best suppliers.

Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
We have a collab on the way with a great hawaiian shaper’s brand. That’s part of Dupraz’s history. We’ll unveil it during the season. We are preparing the 40^th anniversary of the mythical ‘Hot One Sixty’ I had the pleasure to create. Carving was born from that ’’Surf des neiges’’

Are you planning to focus on a special product range or type of customers? What’s your newest range?
While our best selling boards are geared towards average to bigger riders, we feel we can improve sales of our smaller D1’s for women and smaller riders, and will devote more resources to that market demographic. Additionally, we have our Be Hot line which will let us appeal to a younger and less ‘freeride/freecarve’ audience, and to let them discover the thrill of ‘duprazing’.
