elooa Split Camp w/ K2 Recap

Another elooa camp goes down a storm with the participating riders. Despite being hit by a spell of bad weather Sunday, the attendees still has a great weekend up the mountains and shredding down on fresh, untouched powder.

elooa Splitboard Base Camp – Fantastic mountain experience with cat, powder and Jacuzzi!

Last weekend, all participants experienced an unforgettable splitboard weekend including cat boarding support, splitboard powder runs and Jacuzzi sessions at the elooa Splitboard Base Camp presented by K2 in our new dreamlike location in Maseben in South Tyrol.

Equipped with the brand-new K2 Splitboard Marauder as well as avalanche safety gear from BCA Backcountry Access, the participants first enjoyed a cat ride up to the almost 2300m high mountain hut, our base for splitboard-tours on the following days. This was followed by a powder run through light forest, then back to the valley and another cat ride up before everyone enjoyed a delicious 3 course dinner and the first Jacuzzi session.

Perfect conditions, with bright sunshine and untracked peaks, were waiting on Saturday morning for various tours in combination with cat and splitboard. During the hike up, everybody received valuable tips from our experienced mountain and snowboard guides. A great run followed; through varied terrain and untouched powder down to the valley. After an easy cat ride up and a short lunch break, another hike followed. Afterwards another great run led us down to the valley and back with the cat directly to the hut. A well-deserved dinner awaited us, followed by further Jacuzzi sessions with a glowing sunset and, later on, under a magical starry sky.

Unfortunately, Sunday morning was rainy, and no summit could be climbed. Because of this, we had a small race back to the starting point in the valley in order to enjoy a delicious Italian pizza as quickly as possible. There, smiling faces recapped this dreamlike weekend and said: “Thanks elooa for the great camp and goodbye until next time!”

Another absolutely unforgettable weekend came to an end and we are already looking forward to the next elooa Splitboard Camp – maybe also with you!
