Press Release:
ETNIES WELCOMES ANDY ANDERSON

Today, etnies proudly welcomes Andy Anderson to their stellar skate team. Not only can Andy switch between tackling huge handrails and handling massive transitions, he has a unique imagination on how to skate whatever he sees. Watch Andy’s Welcome to the Team edit HERE

“I’m so stoked to be affiliated with etnies because it was the first skater-owned shoe company. It doesn’t get more OG than that,” Andy Anderson

“Andy is the most unique and talented skateboarder! I get lost watching him skate, I am beyond excited to finally be on a team with him!” Ryan Sheckler

“It is uncommon to cross paths with a young skater whose talents incorporate freestyle, street and transition – that can bring it all together is amazing. Andy skates it all and appreciates all types of skateboarding roots. Andy skates with the highest level of trick difficulty! We are proud to welcome him to the etnies team.” Pierre-André Senizergues – owner and CEO of etnies.

Due to the long harsh Canadian winters Andy grew up in, he turned to freestyle to satisfy his appetite for inventive skateboarding. Being anti-ollie in his early days, Andy’s trick selection is as unique as they come, blending an almost forgotten style of board control with a modern eye for where to ride.

He says he’d like to take flavours from forgotten eras and shed some light on them. From freestyling to heading the etnies REBEL SPORTS collection – he’s doing just that.

ETNIES REBEL SPORTS COLLECTION
etnies (etnics) was born of the rebellious culture of 80s skateboarding – the counterculture of mainstream, anti-establishment and youth gone wild. etnies is a tribe, a crew and a family that explores, creates, skates and lives life to the fullest.

etnies “REBEL SPORTS” collection takes us back to the rebellious 80s, when skateboarders challenged the status quo, blasted through obstacles, and opened up creative freedom. This product collection is inspired by etnies 80s products, and it is available worldwide.
