The wait is finally over! This past Saturday, the o2 Surftown Munich officially opened its doors, and it was nothing short of epic.
Germany’s first and Europe’s biggest surf park threw a massive celebration with international surf stars, local surf youngsters and legends, and industry insiders all in attendance. The surf shows were a real highlight, with pros, coaches, and invited industry veterans showing off what the new wave tech can do. Names like Rosina Neuerer, Camilla Kemp, Fabiana Klein, Leon Glatzer, Marlon Lipke, Sebastian Steudtner, Finn Springborn, Carsten Kurmis, Freddie Meadows, Gony Zubizarreta, Roby D’amico, Dylan Graves, and Skim Tour Champion Conklin Blair all hit the water to showcase their skills.
The new pool wave tech is seriously next-level, delivering some of the best artificial waves out there right now. From perfect A-frames to point break barrels and waves with one or even two jump sections, the opening had it all. This spot is set to become a real game-changer for everyone living in and around Munich, and who knows just how much surf tourism this awesome wave will draw in from all corners of the world!
