Issue 114 Cover Interview: Zebbe Landmark, Stuntwood Co-Owner
Introducing SOURCE Issue 114’s cover star, Zebbe Landmark. Zebbe is co-owner of Stuntwood store (& Distro) up in Sweden, and as you can see is a total shredder. Big thanks to Alex Roberts for the photo. Read below for our interview with cover boy Zebbe.
Tell us about your background and what led you to opening Stuntwood.
So I didn’t actually open the shop, that was my good friend and co-owner Joakim (Salle) Sahlberg who opened the store in 2018. But from the beginning Stuntwood was a distribution that developed into an online shop and then a physical store. 2019 Salle asked me to join him in the store, at that time I just came from filming my last video part with Method Mag and felt that I was up for something new and said yes. In 2020 I joined as a part owner and today we are 3 buddies who are running the business together… Joakim, Kalle and me!
How is Stuntwood going?
Right now we’re having a tough time like everyone I guess, just trying to hold on and hope for a good winter with a lot snow!
How has winter started?
The snow situation was crazy at the beginning of this week, I think we had 60cm in 2 days but the weather changes quick so now it’s melting and I guess by Saturday it will be gone unfortunately.
Sales wise it’s been going alright, hoped for a bit more but think people are waiting a little bit, the demand isn’t as high as last year when a lot of brands were short on production due to covid. Now it’s the opposite, we have a lot of products but so far low demand. But it’s early in the season!
Tell us about the cover photo.
Well this is a frontside Alley Oop from the Stuntwood session that Alex Roberts has taken:) It’s a yearly event that we host around Easter in Falun in mid-Sweden together with the awesome digging crew at falusnowpark. On this day I was really feeling the hip and who wouldn’t when the sun is out, snow is slushy and all your friends are boarding!
What are your biggest lessons learnt in life?
It’s a very hard question but for me right now. I think just running a business during covid has been a very big lesson that I’m, to this day, still trying to figure out. I hope in a few years that I can look back at this time and be proud of what we have accomplished.
