Retail Buyers Guide: Snowboards F/W 2025/26 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand: Mas snowboards
Interviewee: Alp DEMIRALP FOUNDER
How was last season in the snowboard market?
It was much more better then expectations we improved our portfoy. Hope it will be a great season on the following one.
With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
Our strongest part is, we have the flexibility to adapt to the needs of our partners. 100% rider-owned and operated with a close connection to the end customer. We are now making new type of snowpark to reach out the riders who are board at traditional snowparks. which will allow us to reach more rider and have fun more then ever.
E-commerce Vs. physical retail, how are you balancing both channels?
E- commerce is good way to show board to customers. However physical retail is the primary way to reach customers. Retail stores do the hard work. Stores explain the characteristics of the boards and advise the right board for the rider. MAS Snowboard’s main purpose is to produce a board to reflect the riders own style. So physical retails are crucial to reach this idea.
How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
Each retailer has own needs. It should be focused on specifically. As MAS Snowbaord we analys and talk with our retailers according to this. Because we are more flexible we act mor quickly and solution wise.
SNOWBOARD SPECIFIC
What trends or developments are you seeing with regards to board construction, shapes, and general innovation? How is this shaping your 25/26 range?
We prefer to stick to traditional shapes. But of course, we follow concept designs all over the world and try to catch the trends.
Anything new concerning sustainability and related products or construction you would like to highlight?
For sustainability, we take care to plant a tree for each product. The continuity of the local trees we procure from our own country is very important to us. Also we use organic super sap solutions in our boards which is the best for the environment compered to other brands.
Are you using any new materials in your hardware for 25/26? If so, what and why? We’re interested in anything new in inserts / edges / cores / sidewalls / glue / resin/ wood types / base material / top sheet / wax / etc..
Of course, there is a new part in our production process. Unlike last year, we placed NFC tags in our products this season. And we can save the personal information of anyone who wants to on this label. This is a great advantage for our consumers in case of loss or theft. Everyone will be happy to see their name when they scan the tag on their mobile device.
Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
Our new designs have themes that include some illustrations and nature visuals. Nature designs are at the forefront this year to emphasize where the product comes from. This is the biggest source of inspiration for us.
Are you planning to focus on a special product range or type of customers? What’s your newest range?
In fact, our new target in the local market is rental centers. Our renewed rental product appeals to exactly this audience. In this way, we aim to be more visible in the mountains.
