After three decades of industry leading innovation, we have learned many things, and our love of riding with friends is just as strong today as it was in the beginning. Starting from a single person business in the early days, it has grown into a family lifestyle.

The love and passion for snowboarding, including the design and execution processes for building boards, has been passed on to Fabian Gunz and he is already heavily involved in the design and shaping of the current boards and those that will take us into the next generation.

Placing value on your roots ensures that you can progress successfully and with the Anniversary Edition, we have a legendary balance of proven past designs combined with modern technology to drive us into the future.

Harry Gunz, the founding member of Rad-Air in 1991, went back into the archives for research and dug out the designs of the first Rad-Air Snowboards. He and Fabian then combined their time-tested and proven shapes with modern materials resulting in the next generation Tanker design presented now.

By following this simple approach and using high quality materials, we have found a unique harmony that has allowed us to produce a next level freeride experience with an all-new Tanker shape and profile. The result is that all riders young and old, not just seasoned Tanker pilots, will enjoy how the new shape performs on and off the slopes.

Our aim was and always will be to build high quality and high performance snowboards that excel in all mountain conditions including groomers, big mountain freeriding, spring snow cream cheese, and of course untracked waist deep powder.

We are very proud to share our vision of this amazing simplicity with this new generation of Rad-Air Tankers that will only be available as a limited release of 30 boards in each length as part of our celebration of 30 years of freedom!
