What are the main trends in Wing construction, materials and design?
The main trends in wing construction, materials, and design focused on achieving the optimal balance between weight and rigidity, which are crucial for high-performance wings. At NSP, there is a continuous pursuit of developing lightweight, strong, and affordable materials.  For instance, the use of composite rigid handles is a significant innovation, reducing overall wing weight while enhancing rigidity and control, leading to more responsive and manoeuvrable wings. Advancing fabrics such as Dacron and high quality sail cloth are favoured for their excellent strength to weight ratio, ensuring durability without adding unnecessary weight. Design approaches have become increasingly fluid and experimental, with developers exploring radical new shapes, innovative canopy panelling methods, and optimised support for the strut, as well as the leading and trailing edges resulting in enhancing aerodynamics and control. NSP are constantly looking to push the boundaries of what is possible in wing design and construction. This approach ensures that the latest wings not only perform exceptionally but are also accessible to a broader audience due to their affordability and longevity.

What materials and construction techniques are you using for your 2025 range?
For the 2025 range, NSP is using lightweight and strong materials like Dacron in various weights to reinforce wings at key pressure points. This improves control, rigidity, and flex where needed. Advanced composites and innovative panelling methods further reduce weight while maintaining durability and responsiveness, ensuring high-performance equipment for all skill levels.

Any standout collaborations or pro models in your 2025 collection?
The NSP Meteor range represents our flagship Pro series, meticulously designed for advanced to professional riders seeking peak performance and innovation. This collaboration showcases our commitment to pushing boundaries in wing design. Look out for it, soon to be flying on shores near you!

How have you implemented sustainability in your production and shipping processes?
We’ve implemented sustainability in our production processes by reusing cutoff materials from production as wrapping and packaging. This is just left overs or scrap from our own product, it’s everyone else’s as well! This helps reduce our reliance on single use plastics. These repurposed materials are used to make wrapping, packaging, hang tags and wing package ties from materials that would typically be discarded from production lines into landfill.
