Outdoor Sports Valley (OSV) have created a number of bachelor’s courses and one master’s course to help people launch their career in the outdoor sports industry. The four specialised programs allow students seeking a career in the outdoor sports industry to take courses taught by experienced professionals in a region considered to be one of the major worldwide hubs for the industry. Become a manager or project manager in the sports industry…The Master of Science in Sports Industry Management (SIM) is designed to train future sports industry executives and managers. Gain an overall view of the ever-changing international sports market as well as the specific skills and tools to succeed in a highly sought out and competitive industry.

Through the active involvement of OSV member companies and partners, these specialized programs were designed to provide students with the specific skills companies in the outdoor sports industry seek. Each of these programs will allow students to gain expertise relative to a specific profession and includes:

  • Taking courses developed by high-level professionals in the sports industry and taught entirely in English,
  • Attending major industry trade shows (ISPO, Sport Achat, ASAP…), • A group in-company project and company visits,
  • Participating in OSV partner events,
  • Participating in the OSV Internship Forum, an exclusive event that allows students to meet with companies in the industry in a unique “speed dating” interview format
  • A 4 to 6-month internship in France or abroad after courses end.

According to a market study conducted in 2016*, the Rhone-Alpes Region counts more than 354 companies in the outdoor sports industry. These companies represent more than 822 brands and 5600 jobs. All 4 programs were designed based on the key needs identified by recruiters and company executives in the industry.
