What is your confidence level regarding FW24 orders/preorders? Did retailers manage to clear their shelves of the former collections?
We see an improvement but stock levels are still pretty high. We remain confident as the appeal on our brand is increasing.
Winter wetsuits are the second most expensive pieces of the surfer’s kit after the board itself: are high pricepoints a challenge in an inflationary context or are the surfers willing to pay for quality?
Our statement is to offer sustainable and qualitative wetsuits. We truly believe that surfers are tired of dealing with fragile wetsuits and buying new ones every year. They are willing to pay the right price for a wetsuit that will last longer. They understand that they actually save money at the end !
Will FW24 be a season of carry-overs for your brand or are you pushing new models?
2024 is the release of our new Yulex wetuits, and we plan to carry over this range for 2025. It is also a sustainable approach : there is no need to deliver new styles every year and encourage to buy more and more. Buy less, buy better !!!
Neoprene foams can be both sustainable and high-performance nowadays. What rubber compound will you use in FW24?
Our wetsuit collection is entirely made of Yulex foam. You don’t have to choose between performance and planet anymore, Yulex is Flex !!
What technologies/constructions are your outer/inner linings made of?
Our linings are all made of recycled materials.
What are the latest updates/innovations among your women wetsuit collection?
We added cushions on the hip area to improve comfort, and girls love it !
Repair, recycle, upcycle ? How do you handle the afterlife of your wetsuits?
Our sustainable approach could not be complete without a full life cycle process :
- Buy a sustainable Yulex wetsuit.
- Take care of it when using and washing. We do offer on our website and stores the dedicated products for your wetsuit maintenance.
- If it needs to be fixed, we also offer a local and quick solution to repair your wetsuit.
- When it is finally time to say goodbye, bring your wetsuit to an Oxbow shop, we will take care of it, and upcycle it in leashes, thanks to our partner Nomads.
