There has never been so many participants out there in the water, however the retailers wetsuit hangers still display some 2023 SKUs: How were the 2024 market and order levels?
We are still a newcomer in the wetsuits business, therefore our stock level is good. The appeal for Oxbow sustainable offer is increasing so we are not facing difficulties right now.
The production life cycle of a wetsuit is 2 to 3 years generally. Beyond mere carry overs, how should we extend that life cycle of the product, avoiding aggressive discounts and bettering the environmental impact?
As we chose to offer our entire line in Yulex natural rubber, it totally makes sense to have a sustainable approach at all stages, so our collection is carry over, offering timeless colorways and styles. We also encourage our clients to take care of their gear, and we offer a repair service to make it last longer. Buy less, buy better.
The 3/2 fullsuit is the piece de resistance of the spring-summer range, what are the latest developments within your collection (men, women, youth)?
Our wetsuits have all you need to enjoy surfing, nothing more, nothing less. We do no market any useless features or any random technical innovation to sell our brand new amazing wetsuit of 2025 !!
Among the various summer silhouettes (springsuit, short/leg fullsuit, long/short john, jacket) which are bestselling (men, women, youth)? And what do you offer in these segments?
The summer silhouettes keeps on increasing as the summer weather and water gets warmer. The men springsuits and jacket are a bestseller. The women springsuit is still a strong market.
Which neoprene options did you use for SS25?
Our goal is to build durable and sustainable products. We chose Yulex has this is the only true sustainable option out there. Our entire collection is made of natural rubber, combined with super stretch recycled fabrics. You don’t have to choose between performance and the planet anymore !
Unlike the trend in winter wetsuit, does the backzip entry system still account for big numbers in 2025?
The only style with a back zip is our retro style shorty. Chest zip is the most demanded option.
Tell us about your colours and graphics: Do you favor gender-neutral colors/prints or sundry graphics?
Black wetsuits are and will always be a must. The timeless design is in line with our mantra, durability. We offer a retro late 90’s shorty, for those who wants to ride with style next summer.
