Retail Buyers Guide:  Snow Goggles 2024/25 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  PANDA
Interviewee: Marketing Panda

What are the main customers’ demands when buying snow goggles?
When it comes to snow goggles there are a number of factors that customers consider when buying goggles. The importance of these factors change depending on a brands target market. Our customers prioritize value and quality over brand recognition and reputation, this is the reason we continue our tradition of offering a polarised lens AND low light lens with every set of adult goggles.

What were your biggest sellers in 2023/24? Why?
Our biggest seller last winter was the Cobalt magnetic polarised goggle, and it has been since its release in 2020. However, for this season we are expecting the new Dual Vision polarised Toric goggle to take over as the biggest seller. This is mainly because it is modeled on the Cobalt but with numerous improvements throughout.

What type of snow goggles from your 2024/2025 collection do you expect to grow the most?
The Toric/cylindrical range (Dual Vision), it gives customers the choice or lens shape and is almost unheard of in the industry.

What are the technical highlights of your 2024/25 collection?
Our extensive use of magnetic lens changing is a technical highlight that most customers appreciate. This winter the technical highlight is certainly our Dual Vision frame that is compatible to both a Toric and cylindrical lens.

What construction techniques and materials are you using in your 2024/25 goggle collection?
Minor construction details and improvements are easily spotted when comparing our older models with the latest. One major improvement is the reduction is wasted lens space to increase vision by around 10% without increasing the lens size.

What colors and designs are you featuring in your 2024/25 collection? Any standout collaborations?
The standout collaboration this year is the return of our pink lens, it has been much missed by customers since we removed it from sale. It has returned with a bright blue strap on the Dual Vision goggle.

Are you implementing sustainability in your products and production processes?
Where possible yes, but we don’t believe in “green washing”. Our next big step is bio-based frames and foam. We are very close to this being a reality but in our opinion making a goggle last a long time with high quality materials is more important than a bio-based product which deteriorates quicker.

What are your marketing stories for 2024/25?
Our continuation of supporting British athletes reach their potential in both skiing and snowboarding whilst also pushing the industry in new directions.

How are you helping retailers to sell this category?
We do not use distributors which means we can provide the best possible trade rates directly with retails.

What is your situation regarding stock and deliveries?
This changes on a regular basis, but we will always be clear with retailers on what is available and delivery times.
