Which products sold best in the winter 2023/24 and why?
We’ve had many wins over last winter, but by far the biggest has been our REKD Energy Impact Shorts, which have greatly exceeded our expectations in terms of sales. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback from riders and are happy to announce that a pro model will be available later this year.
Are you feeling the impact of climate challenges (unpredictable conditions, snow at higher altitudes, more expensive costs) on your product demand and development?
If a specific snow season has had poor or unpredictable conditions, sales can be affected, but as REKD deals globally, regional snow issues have minimal impact on us.
Which product do you expect to grow the most of your 2025/2026 collection?
Based on the sales history of our REKD Energy Impact Shorts, we expect our pro model to follow a similar trend. We have seen a really positive response to our REKD Energy Freedom Wrist Guards since their release and expect to see nice growth there. Finally, later this year will be the release of our REKD Energy Ranger Protective Vest, which we think will see great growth and are really excited for customers to see it.
What are the design and material highlights of your 2025/26 collection?
Our upcoming REKD Energy Ranger Protective Vest has utilised laser stitching for precision, allowing for increased stretch and freedom. Its combination of mesh and our Energy foam offers complete protection while maintaining breathability and comfort. The unique slimline design of our REKD Energy Freedom Wrist Guards reduces fatigue, maximising mobility, while offering advanced protection. In broader terms we are continuing to develop our Energy foam technology and include it in more products.
How are you implementing sustainability in your products and production processes?
We’ve been looking at the brand from a sustainability perspective and have now made most of our packaging from recycled materials, as well as looking at increasing sustainable materials in existing and new products.
How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
We support retailers by offering competitive pricing and by making a lot of supplementary media to be used as advertising material to help retailers sell our products. We also advertise direct to consumers to help drive interest.
