What particular product has been the best seller?

I shape my own boards and sell them in the shop, these are popular. I recently shaped a board for the owner of ‘Espadrilles’ son, who is a top world class longboarder. Thanks to this I am one of the only shops in the area that sells Espadrilles products.

What is your best selling category?

The best selling category is hardware, surfboards etc.

What are the benefits of having a physical shop over simply having an online store?

The benefits are the fact that you can serve all of your customers personally. There are so many shops online that the competition is immense. It is like another world. Too be honest I feel too old to run that aswell. I just like to run everything in store.

What makes your store different and in what ways does your store excel beyond your competition?

The store is different from the competition as we have a juice bar in the shop where shoppers can stop for a coffee etc whilst browsing. This is what makes us unique.

What have been the best three selling brands for you in the last 12 months?

Hurley and Globe- shoes and skate.

How is the surf scene in your local area?

Being based in Biarritz means the surf scene is really good. We have just had the French Championship for longboarders here earlier this year.
