RIDE SNOWBOARD BINDINGS F/W 2025/26 PREVIEW
Retail Buyers Guide: Snowboard Bindings F/W 2025/26 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand: Ride
Interviewee: Ride Snowboards Marketing
How was last season in the snowboard binding market?
Crazy. Lots of changes in this category – brands and consumers have shifted towards new concepts like fast-entry bindings, while traditional strap bindings continue to evolve (probably for a more technical and less lazy clientele, haha). But there’s a real split between these two options. It’s our responsibility to educate stores and consumers on the benefits of each concept to make our customers happy and tailor our offering to their needs.
With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
Yes, as I just explained, bindings are evolving, and we continue to invest to make them as high-performing as possible. We strive to be as fair and responsive as possible for our customers.
What are the major trends you’re seeing with product pricing in the snowboard bindings market?
Prices tend to increase, just like every product we buy daily, but this increase has been controlled in recent years. If the concept is worthwhile and works, then customers are also willing to pay a high price for it. Ride offers different ranges to reach a large public.
E-commerce Vs. physical retail, how are you balancing both channels?
Specific approaches are needed for these two channels. With Ride, we try to support local shops, resort shops, and core shops as best as we can by providing information, advising them on products for customers who come in for face-to-face advice. And for e-tailers, we work differently while providing them with our support too.
How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
We let them try, we explain, and we take the time to highlight our innovations and our concept. Our athletes have always played an important role as well in showcasing our products.
What unique brand messages are you focusing on for the 2025/2026 bindings season?
NOTHING IN MODERATION – We’re dedicating everything we have to developing the best product on the market for snowboarders.
Are you introducing any new innovations in buckles, straps, highbacks, baseplates, heel cups, etc..?
Yes, check out the all new Drone and Specter bindings. We have developed new highbacks and new straps that will allow you to be more precise, faster in your rotations, and above all, more comfortable. The weight will also be lighter thanks to the use of a new material.
Are you using any new materials in your bindings for 25/26?
Yes, exactly, Nylon, for example, to reduce weight, and it also has properties that are better suited for the cold.
Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
Yes, 95% of our collection is either redesigned or new (Specter & Drone for men and women).
Any quick entry bindings in your collection for 25/26?
No.
Anything new concerning sustainability and related products or construction you would like to highlight?
We’ve evolved our packaging boxes, all certified FSC.
Are you planning to focus on a special product range or type of customers?
Ride is the company for the people, we offer products for all snowboarders!
