Brand: Ride
Interviewee: Ride Snowboards Marketing
How was last season in the snowboard market?
It was a really good season, we got to get our and ride a ton. Win win for the marketing team.
With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
At Ride, we always try to evolve our products to make them more high-performance. We have been trying to control and manage our prices for the past two seasons.
What are the major trends you’re seeing with product pricing in the snowboard market?
Snowboarding can be expensive, but we always try to introduce new products that are more affordable for smaller budgets. These products also evolve to make your time on the slopes better.
E-commerce Vs. physical retail, how are you balancing both channels?
Specific approaches are needed for these two channels. With Ride, we try to support local shops, resort shops, and core shops as best as we can by providing information, advising them on products for customers who come in for face-to-face advice. And for e-tailers, we work differently while providing them with our support too.
How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
We let them try, we explain, and we take time to highlight our innovations and our concept. Our athletes have always played an important role as well in showcasing our products. Our unique marketing is playing a huge role too.
What unique brand messages are you focusing on for the 2025/2026 snowboard season? NOTHING IN MODERATION – We’re dedicating everything we have to developing the best product on the market for snowboarders.
SNOWBOARD SPECIFIC
What trends or developments are you seeing with regards to board construction, shapes, and general innovation? How is this shaping your 25/26 range?
RIDE has got the best engineers in the biz working hard to build the best snowboards around. Seriously, all they do is think about snowboards. Summertime – thinking about snowboards, wintertime – thinking about (and riding) snowboards. Constantly testing and developing new concepts and ideas.
Anything new concerning sustainability and related products or construction you would like to highlight?
For sure, we’re always looking at more sustainable designs and materials. One of the big ones we’re moving forward with is a new Bio Resin. Don’t quote me but moving to this new resin cuts our carbon footprint by some crazy amount.
Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
Always good collabs around the corner. Maybe more to come just keep an eyes on our channels.
Are you planning to focus on a special product range or type of customers? What’s your newest range?
