Retail Buyers Guide:  Womens Outerwear F/W 2025/26 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  Rojo
Interviewee: Jassie Salveson, Marketing and Sales

How was the women’s snow outerwear market in 2023/24?
The 2023/24 season was shaped by the dual pressures of climate change, cost of living pressures and a surplus inventory, creating a challenging environment for the soft goods market. At ROJO, we saw this as an opportunity to stand by our community and doubling down on our commitment to support independent snow retailers. Through community-driven initiatives like Chicks Who Shred and strategies that focus on driving in-store engagement, we’ve strengthened our brand position. Our “core-store” strategy prioritized tight distribution and a curated, intentional approach to retail partnerships, ensuring our products meet the needs of both retailers and consumers. In response to the above, we’ve focused on creating a tightly curated collection that marries our heritage with today’s consumer demands. This thoughtful range provides fresh, compelling styles and a harmonious palette, giving retailers tools to navigate the complexities of the current market. We are proud to support our local community, bringing purpose and passion to everything we do and hope we see a positive 24/25 season.

What is the overall theme behind your 2025/26 outerwear range? From which big trends do you take your inspiration?
ROJO Outerwear has been independently owned and operated since 1987, making us the original art-driven snow and outerwear brand for women. Our legacy of being designed by women, for women continues to drive our purpose, passion, and deep connection to the snow community. For 2025/26, we’ve taken inspiration from our archives, blending our rich heritage with the ever-evolving needs of our modern snow community. This season’s range is all about authenticity; bold designs, meaningful details, and a celebration of the adventurous female spirit.

What new fits/silhouettes are coming out in 2025/26? What pant and jacket styles are most important in your range?
Our 2025/26 collection is all about inclusivity and nostalgia. We’ve stayed true to our best-sellers and proven fits while introducing thoughtful innovations to meet the needs of today’s diverse consumers.

  • Inclusive fits: We’ve expanded our plus-size range and introduced extended sizing, focusing on fit options for larger busts and hips.
  • Enhanced comfort: New stretch movement panels improve performance, ensuring every woman can move with confidence and ease on the slopes.
  • Timeless designs: Nostalgic styles with modern functionality form the foundation of our line, providing the perfect balance between fashion and performance.

What new colours/prints are you introducing?
This season’s palette evokes a sense of nostalgia and serenity while staying fresh and versatile:

  • Organic neutrals: Warm Taupe, Sphagnum, Cafe
  • Nostalgic hues: Retro Blue, Lilas, Thistle
  • Restorative tones: Skipper Blue, Fig
  • Washed pastels: Wax Yellow, Ballard Blue, Pink-A-Boo
Our prints also reflect this balance, designed to stand out while being easy to style for multiple seasons.

Any NEW technical stories with regards to fabrics and materials?
We’re thrilled to introduce several exciting innovations in 2025/26:

  • AT-X: Buttery 4-way stretch fabric for ultimate comfort and movement.
  • OEKO-TEX-certified fabrics and trims for a cleaner, safer production process.
  • Plant-based PFC-free waterproofing treatments, which combine sustainability with high performance.
These advancements align with our commitment to creating outerwear that performs on the mountain while protecting the planet.

Any trends that your brand is moving away from?
As always, we design with longevity in mind. We’re moving away from fast-changing, trend-driven pieces and focusing instead on a cohesive, timeless range. This means fewer but more intentional designs that mix, match, and perform across multiple seasons. Sustainability remains at the heart of our approach, with an ongoing commitment to sourcing responsibly, reducing waste, and expanding our Positive Change Initiative.
