SALOMON SNOW GOGGLES F/W 2025/26 PREVIEW

Retail Buyers Guide:  Snow Goggles F/W 2025/26 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  Salomon
Interviewee: Delphine Polycarpe – Goggles Line Manager & Awena Jouannic – Protective Marketing Manager

Which goggles sold best in the winter 2024/2025 and why?
The Sentry franchise, launched in the 23/24 season, continues to enjoy great success, particularly with younger, core customers in the freeskiing and snowboarding segments, which was one of our main objectives. Thanks to the introduction of models specially designed in small sizes for women and OTG models adapted for spectacle wearers, we are now reaching an even wider audience. Cylindrical goggles remain in high demand, and our best-sellers Aksium (renewed in 2021) and S/View continue to generate strong sales. In addition, the RADIUM spherical franchise, with its advanced technologies and wide field of vision, continues to perform extremely well in the market.

Are  you feeling the impact of climate challenges (unpredictable conditions, snow at higher altitudes, more expensive costs) on your product demand and development?
Current climatic challenges, such as more erratic weather conditions and reduced snow cover at lower altitudes, are having a direct impact on winter sports activities. This results in greater fluctuations in sales, especially in years when the snow arrives late or in reduced quantities. We therefore need to adapt our production forecasts and marketing strategies to these new parameters, while at the same time being more responsive. However Salomon protective products are still progressing. Faced with these environmental challenges, we are striving to design ever more sustainable and eco-responsible products, with the aim of reducing our carbon footprint without compromising quality or performance. We strive to better anticipate demand to avoid overstocking and minimize waste. By integrating more responsible production practices and focusing on sustainability, we are responding not only to consumer expectations but also to growing environmental challenges.

What are the highlights in frame construction and materials of your 2025/26 collection?
All our models are built with 100% Polyurethane (PU) frames, a durable and flexible material for maximum comfort. For 2025/2026 we also want to focus on the sustainable aspect of our goggles’ straps. In fact all new Salomon straps will be made with 60% recycled yarns but without overlooking the aesthetic aspect.

What are the highlights in lens technology in your 2025/26 goggle collection?
This year we continue to highlight our patented Sigma™ lens technology, which is significantly boosting colour contrast on snow. Although no new lenses are being introduced this season, we have consolidated our existing range of 12 lenses, ranging from photochromic cat.1-3 to cat.3, 2 and 1. This diversity allows us to cover the needs of our consumers in all weather conditions and offer a wide choice of colours to suit everyone’s style. We also have a strong magnetic lenses offer with 2 high-end models: Radium Prime and Sentry Prime. The lens changing system is super easy and intuitive to use. The Sentry Prime is featuring a locking system to secure the lens. And because 42% of goggles are replaced due to scratched lenses, it also comes with a foldable and magnetic lens protector so the goggles can stay protected and clean when not in use.

What colours, prints or patterns are you featuring in your 2025/26 collection?
For the 2025/26 season, we have placed a strong focus on the design of goggles straps, renewing 80% of our range. We can offer products to suit all tastes, from more classic models to bolder, more dynamic and expressive designs. This year, we’ve developed a range of new colors, including Iceberg Green, Ice Flow, Ultra Violet and Blue Granite, offering a variety of choices for everyone to find their own style. These new shades are in line with our desire to meet the different needs of consumers, whether they’re looking for a discreet, basic look or something more vibrant and colorful. What’s more, to ensure consistency across our entire product range, we’ve created straps inspired by our main ski and snowboard stories, such as Hucknife for snowboarding, QST for freeskiing and Addikt for all-mountain skiing. On top of that we collaborate with the Salomon Freeski team to create capsule collection, combining the expertise of professional athletes with the expectations of the general public, reinforcing the functional and stylish aspect of our products.

Which goggles from your 2025/2026 collection do you expect the most growth from and why?
For 2025/2026 we anticipate significant growth for the all-new S/View 3. We have renewed this bestseller with design update to attract new consumers. Thanks to its great fit and unisex design, the S/View 3 is the perfect goggle for all mountain skiers and snowboarders. This updated version retains the comfort and performance that made the original such a success, while adopting a more progressive design in line with current trends.

How are you implementing sustainability in your products and production processes?
From the FW25 season onwards, all our new goggle straps will be made from 60% recycled yarns. This reflects our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint while maintaining product quality and durability. Sustainability also means offering products that last longer. Given that 42% of goggles are replaced because of scratches on the lenses, we have developed a magnetic lens protector compatible with our Sentry Prime models, so that your masks stay protected and clean when not in use. In addition, we stopped the dyeing process on goggle bag, which had a significant environmental impact without compromising the effectiveness in terms of cleaning and protection. Finally, since the FW21 season, all our packaging, manuals and labels have been made from FSC-certified paper, and we have done away with all polybags as part of our ‘zero plastic’ objective.

How are you helping retailers to sell this category?
Dedicated training book and catalog are provided to our sales force and retailers bringing together detailed information on products, technologies… We offer a full range of PoP materials highlighting Salomon’s key products and explaining and demonstrating our technologies (Sigma lens selector, Custom ID fit demotool…).  Dedicated protective content have also been developed for the retailers to be able to create a real universe around our products in shops (visuals and videos).
