SeaJack LLC aquires World Industries
SeaJack LLC, the parent company of popular casual footwear brands Including Flojos, Volatile, Sbicca, and Kengos is pleased to announce the acquisition of World Industries (excluding Canada), an iconic and historic skateboard and shoe brand. This move marks the return of the brand to its roots in Southern California, spearheaded by John Dickinson, CEO of SeaJack who was CEO of World Industries from 2004 to 2010.
World Industries product line includes skateboards, footwear, apparel, and accessories. “I’m thrilled to reunite with World Industries, a brand that holds a special place in my heart and with which I’ve had a long and successful journey,” says John Dickinson. “Our goal is clear, to re-establish World Industries as the top choice for quality, affordable skateboarding equipment, accessories, and lifestyle products for action sports enthusiasts worldwide.”
Founded in 1987 – World Industries was one of the first skateboard companies owned and operated by professional skateboarders. Known for its groundbreaking contributions to skate culture, World Industries popularized fictional characters such as Wet Willy, Flameboy, and Devil Man, which remain iconic to this day. World Industries footwear featured never-before-seen custom graphics, making each shoe distinctive and appealing to the skate community. World Industries will continue to foster its reputation with support from prominent athletes, including Kevin Klemme, Andreau Spotich, Sam Curran, Rahim Shabazz, Sean Eagan, and ambassador Anthony Shetler. The company aims to implement strategic marketing and social media initiatives to strengthen its presence and engage the next generation of skateboarders.
