SIGB Snow test heads to Champoluc in Italy for 2026
The Snowsport Industries of Great Britain (SIGB) confirmed that the 2026 SIGB Snow Test (Slide on Snow) will take place in Champoluc, Italy, from 26–30 January 2026. This traditional mountain town, nestled in the heart of the Monterosa ski area, will provide a fresh and exciting setting for the UK’s annual snowsports equipment test. Following extensive research and site visits by test organiser Hillside Outside, Champoluc was selected for its lift infrastructure, excellent testing terrain, and of course, the unbeatable Italian hospitality. With access to 132km of piste, quick test lap turnaround on varied terrain, and very quiet midweek queues, the location promises a highly efficient and enjoyable experience for all participants.
“We’re excited to be heading to a brand-new resort for the next Snow Test,” said Dave Sawyer-Parker, SIGB committee member. “Finding the perfect location to deliver a smooth and effective test is never easy, but Champoluc ticks all the boxes. With efficient logistics, varied terrain, and Italian hospitality, it’s the ideal setting for focused testing, and great value too.”
The event is open to UK snowsport retailers, suppliers, and winter sports media. Testing everything from skis and boots, to outerwear, gloves, goggles and the latest tech, it’s an important week for the industry ahead of key order deadlines to get together in the mountains and make new connections.
