Which goggles sold best in the winter 2023/2024 and why?
Our 4D Mag family of goggles continues to be a best seller – offering riders a massive field of view thanks to our Birdseye lens technology. This unique lens offers up to a 25% FOV increase vs traditional toric & cylindrical lens geometries, with an easy lens interchange via the Smith MAG system. Other key models include the I/O Mag and Squad Collections, which now feature Chromapop Pro Photochromic – a new winter specifc formulation with wider VLT swing and faster transition times vs our standard Photochromic lenses.
Are you feeling the impact of climate challenges (unpredictable conditions, snow at higher altitudes, more expensive costs) on your product demand and development?
Certainly Smith, alongside our partners & retailers, feels the impact caused by unprecedented climate & economic conditions. We’re incredibly grateful for our three product categories of Snow, Bike & Eyewear and the diversity they provide. While we can’t predict the future – we all can help to shape it & we’ve placed more focus than ever on long term, innovative & sustainable solutions that will allow Smith to continue to anticipate, imagine & adapt product solutions & collections to an ever-changing landscape.

Key Products:
Three new goggles from Smith for 2025/26 are the Preview, Tribute and Transfer. The Preview will be a hero product for us as it is a key extension of the BirdsEye Vision™ technology; a proprietary lens shape that extends and curves below the sightline and opens a vast field of view, now offered in a fixed lens option in a price conscious package. We’re also offering the Transfer & Tribute – each with a modern design and optimized fit in two different sizes – for entry riders who want to look good without breaking the bank. Smith will continue to focus on enaging and vibrant storytelling around our artist series and athlete collabs with Dylan Siggers (Freestyle Ski), Alice Robinson (Ski Racing), and Marion Heart (Freeride Snowboard).
