Snow-Camp has been awarded a Princess Royal Training Award for providing high-quality training and development programmes for youth, providing industry-wide recognition to the only registered UK charity changing lives through snow sports.

Snow-Camp Awarded Princess Royal Training Award
- Snow-Camp has been awarded a Princess Royal Training Award for its outstanding youth training and development programmes.
- The awards were presented by HRH Princess Anne at a ceremony at St’ James’s Palace in London on the 30th October 2019.
- The Princess Royal Training Awards Commission (PRTAs), established by president HRH Princess Anne of the development body City & Guilds, chose businesses as recipients from both public and private sector through rigorous assessment.
- Only four other charities were recognised alongside Snow-Camp, all of which will be accepting the prestigious award from HRH The Princess Royal at a ceremony this October.
Snow-Camp, the UK’s only registered charity turning young lives around through snow sports, has been awarded a Princess Royal Training Awards. The Snow-Camp team attended the awards ceremony at St James’s Palace in London on 30 October 2019. They were presented with the award by HRH Princess Anne, who is the president of the global skills development body. The charity is one of forty-eight workplace learning programmes that was recognised by the Princess Royal Training Awards Commission (PRTAs) for an award this year.
PRTAS was set up by the City & Guilds, a global skills development body, who has been recognising employers, with outstanding training and development programmes for the past four years. President of the body, HRH Princess Anne announced the winners on her birthday (15th August 2019). All the recipients, which includes businesses from both public and private sector, were subject to a rigorous assessment process.

This year saw clear trends in the types of training programmes demonstrating exceptional quality and impact. Apprenticeship programmes have become a mainstay and focus of learning and development for many organisations, just like Snow-Camp’s own Programme Journey from First Tracks to Youth Forum.
