In anticipation of Fall-Winter 2025, were the pre-orders/orders for FW24 up to your expectations? Did the retailers eventually clear their hangers from the 2022/23 collections?
At SOÖRUZ, we’re very satisfied with FW24. The recognized quality of our products, our service, respect for prices and sales relays have enabled us to return to double-digit growth. Our dealers have no overstock of SOÖRUZ products.

And what about the summer sales of your SS24 ranges?
Our pricing policy is stable. Our best-off models are continued in black. We are adding new colors to suit season’s trend.

What is your strategy for FW25? What is the ratio between carryovers and new SKUs? Prices are on the rise?
SOÖRUZ wetsuits are always priced right. We’re seeing strong demand for our top-of-the-range products. The GURU + Hood 5/4mm wetsuit is our best off for FW24.

Fall-winter wetsuits used to target the core surfers, with a priority on performance over price. Is that still true or the increased participation [of newbies] lead to new purchase habits, may be more price oriented?
Since FW24, all SOÖRUZ wetsuits ranges contain our exclusive ÖRGANIC OYSTERPRENE foam. This innovation is the culmination of 10 years of R&D with our engineers in France, laboratories and our supplier. We hope that petroleum-based wetsuits will soon be a thing of the past.

Beyond the gender specific fit, is your women wetsuit collection any different from the men’s?
SOÖRUZ pays particular attention to women’s wetsuits. This year, we’ve reworked the ease of entry, as well as the distribution of thickness to facilitate paddling, while guaranteeing warmth and great comfort.

A good after sales service is sought-after nowadays, with the capacity to warranty, repair and/or recycle wetsuits. What do you have to offer on that matter?
At SOÖRUZ, quality of service and answers to the needs of professionals and private customers are our core business. We have our own repair and prototyping workshop. We repair with the original materials and the expertise of our team. We’ve been working on the entire life cycle of wetsuits for 10 years, and recycle over 20,000 suits a year in-house, with our own investments.
