The Heart Supply & Partners Donated Over 1,300 Boards in 2021
The Heart Supply was created by Kori & Johnny Schillereff as a way of sharing skateboarding with underprivileged kids around the globe. For every Heart Supply board or piece of apparel sold, the proceeds go towards funding the brand’s #GiveSkateboarding initiative.
Over the past year, in partnership with Make Life Skate Life, The Good Push Network, and distributors Rolling Thunder Supply Co., the Heart Supply has given over 1,300 free complete skateboards to youth globally. Doing so has allowed a whole demographic and a new generation to get involved with a sport that not only promotes keeping fit and healthy, but also provides an opportunity to make friends, feel free, develop resilience and an outlet for creative self-expression.
In a heartfelt message of thank you, the Heart Supply team says: “We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank this team for getting our complete skateboards into the hands of a wide variety of communities worldwide. Words cannot express how impactful your efforts are and we hope this message of gratitude shines light on your endeavours.”
As well as the organisations above, The Heart Supply works with many other organisations that are building skateparks, running skate programs, providing education and much more in areas where skateboarding, creativity and learning may have been previously unavailable. Currently, these organisations consist of:
– Skateistan
– Make Life Skate Life
– Skate Pal
– Maputo Skate
– Salad Days of Skateboarding
– 7 Hills
– Skateaid
Through working with each of these organisations, The Heart Supply has donated boards to programs and initiatives in Afghanistan, Bolivia, Bhutan, Colombia, Germany, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Mozambique, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom and the USA.
The Heart Supply continues, “We would also like to take this opportunity to show our appreciation for the passionate and dedicated skate programs who aim to include females, disadvantaged and refugee youth and use skateboarding as a tool for teaching cross cultural communication, self-expression and resilience to underserved youth populations. Thank you for an incredible and fulfilling 2021 and we look forward to the year ahead.”
