ThirtyTwo 2023/2024 Men’s Outerwear Preview

Retail Buyers Guide:  Men‘s Outerwear 2023/24 Retail Buyer‘s Guide
Brand:  Thirtytwo
Interviewee: N/A

What is the overall theme behind your 2023/24 outerwear range? From which big trends do you take your inspiration?
The return of color in skateboarding is probably our biggest trend for the winter apparel. Graphics and color schemes have gotten a lot louder lately and we always merge our snow and skate roots when developing our seasonal direction.

What new fits / silhouettes are coming out in 2023/24? What pant and jacket styles are most important in your range?
Fits are baggier and bibs are still key players, but we see them slowing.  The relaxed fit isn’t loose enough for most of our crew so we’ve made a lot of our key styles a little roomier in the leg.

What new colours / prints are you introducing?
Zeb Powell’s  Carolina blue is definitely a standout as well as Chris Grenier’s splinter camo, but one of our favorites is the nod to retro ski patrol colors with the Springbreak Bib and Parka.

Any *NEW* technical stories with regards to fabrics and materials?
Our key story continues to be our use of 100% recycled 2 and 3 layer fused fabrics in several of our styles.  The Springbreak Bib features a drop butt panel which was a fun one to both develop and test.

Any trends that your brand is moving away from?
We always stick to our roots and don’t travel too far down the path of any one trend so there isn’t anything specific that we stopped doing or felt the need to move away from.

What are your top marketing stories for 2023/24? This will help us to put some focus in the right place.
We continue to work with longstanding partners both in the spirit of giveback and collaboration.  Key partners are still B4BC, Springbreak, and Santa Cruz.

Outerwear Best Sellers/Hero products
Sweeper XLT : The Sweeper XLT is a new pant developed by Zeb Powell.  It is everything that our team loves about the Sweeper, but with additional pockets and crotch venting. In his home state Carolina Blue, this is Zeb’s go-to pant.

Springbreak Powder Bib : Our true backcountry bib with waterproof venting throughout, 2 layer fused fabric, drop seat full zippered access, and loose performance fit. We collaborated with Corey Smith of Springbreak for a bib that will function in any terrain.

TM-3 Jacket: This is our pinnacle jacket and features our 100% recycled 3 layer fused fabric. Waterproof zippers, welded seams, superior venting, helmet compatible hood, zip out insulating synthetic down vest, and lightweight performance.
