Brand: Tur
Interviewee: TUR Snowboards Marketing. Zebbe Landmark (International sale) & Jörgen Svedberg (Scandinavia sale)
How was last season in the snowboard market?
As a relatively new brand in the European market, our objective has been to establish an introduction and generate awareness around TUR Snowboards and our product offerings. With the valuable feedback we have received, we are entering this season with renewed energy and enthusiasm to share our riding experiences and showcase our products.
With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
As a premium brand committed to uncompromising quality in our materials, we always anticipate fluctuations in pricing. In response to the shifting global landscape regarding awareness and rising costs, we are increasingly dedicated to sustainability in both our manufacturing processes and materials selection. We do not compromise the quality of our product materials to fit within a specific price range; rather, we strive for excellence in our offerings. Our belief that a great product endures over time is one of the key reasons we practice product carryover.
What unique brand messages are you focusing on for the 2025/2026 snowboard season?
Overall, pricing is undergoing changes, and we firmly believe that quality is inherently associated with cost. We prioritize quality over quantity amidst constant evolution. Both physical retailers and e-commerce platforms hold equal importance for us. At the core of TUR’s identity is a creative drive, compelling us to continually challenge ourselves to present innovative concepts and products across all cultural dimensions. This approach enables both us and our retail partners to effectively activate and communicate the TUR brand throughout the year, introducing new products and concepts supported by us and materials to facilitate their promotion.
SNOWBOARD SPECIFIC
What trends or developments are you seeing with regards to board construction, shapes, and general innovation? How is this shaping your 25/26 range?
With Scandinavia as our testing ground, it consists the perfect harsh conditions to developing and testing our shapes, if they work here they work anywhere. TUR´s focus is to have relevant products within the cornerstones of riding the mountains, therefore our range of shapes serves a purpose. All our products are highly considered and crafted with uncompromising materials to reach the highest riding experience we want to have.
Anything new concerning sustainability and related products or construction you would like to highlight?
We encourage and love what is happening in awareness and the thrive of exploring to find sustainable solutions. We try to adapt all positive solutions that are in the reach in our productions. Due to the use of high-end materials, all our shapes practice carryover, a boards lifespan is longer then one year.
Are you using any new materials in your hardware for 25/26? If so, what and why? We’re interested in anything new in inserts / edges / cores / sidewalls / glue / resin/ wood types / base material / top sheet / wax / etc..
We are always interesting in evolution in materials and have continuously discussion with engineers at the factory. The most important for us is that the use of material serves a purpose in our shapes and deliver the riding experience we aim for.
Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
We are fast in maneuvering our brand and are always challenging the relevance in how we creatively can adapt ideas into TUR. We are working on new ideas and have some interesting discussions for collabs for next year but early in the process.
Are you planning to focus on a special product range or type of customers? What’s your newest range?
For this season we are releasing a new concept celebrating the Scandinavian heritage of the darkness, ”Mörkret Edition”. This will be released in end of November in a limited edition snowboard together with some apparel. Artwork is as always made by Swedish artist Ragnar Persson.
