What lacing systems are your main focus in 24/25 and why? Where does BOA fit in your overall strategy and focus?
Vans Snow has 3 closure systems that each have their own place within our snow category. We focus on Lace, Boa (single and double) and a Hybrid system. We know that each rider has their preference and Vans wants to ensure we provide performance boots in whichever closure system they gravitate to and with every level of riding. Yes, BOA will always be in the line and we work closely with that team to partner on new innovations in the future. What is exciting and very important, is that we, Vans, have snow athletes across each closure system, so we have the best of the best giving our Vans product team feedback on ways to tweak and improve. One area we are excited about is with the Hybrid system (Boa and Lace). We have an all new Infuse SnowSurf model for the 2024/2025 season. This new boot allows for the flexibility of the two lacing system but with on-the-fly adjustment. The Infuse SnowSurf was designed to expand the use cases with the successful Infuse model. The Infuse SnowSurf has an oversized PleasureCuff™ (with hook and loop strap for extra adjustment), which helps increase the boot’s range of motion. With its asymetrical flex pattern, the boot ensures fluid edge to edge transfer and enhanced mobility. This new boot is all about having just the right amount of mobility and freedom of movement, no matter the terrain or conditions. And with The North Face Flashdry boot liner, you can stay out for one more run.

Which part of your range are you investing in the most? Freestyle, freeride, all mountain, beginner…? Why?
Vans Snowboarding is about inspiring snowboarders to express their authentic selves both on and off the board, and that includes Freestyle, Park riders, City riders, and the person that just picked up the sport (that will stick with them forever). The team riders share this diverse approach from backcountry to the handrail in their town. It is about having fun and progressing the sport no matter where you strap in or what level you are at. We have boots for all.

Pricewise, which area of the market do you cater to?
The current pricing mentality has not changed at Vans. We sit within the boot market nicely. Vans provides amazing design, details and performance features at a competitive price, so no matter what closure system you prefer or level of riding you are at, Vans has a boot for you at a great price (without skimping on features to achieve that price).
What are your top product marketing stories for next season?
For the 2024/2025 season, Vans Snowboarding will highlight two of Vans’ most asprirational and creative riders, Benny Urban and Jill Perkins, with signature colors of the Hi-Standard Pro. The Hi-Standard Pro is their go-to model and is one of Vans’ most popular lace styles. This model has a timeless Vans design with true performance attributes— exactly what Benny and Jill need to do what they do. They are amazing Vans athletes and ambassadors and so excited to see what they accomplish and their progression over this next year.
