Wade Carmichael Joins The C-Skins International Team
Having had an impressive two years on the WSL QS, Wade Carmichael has now joined the International team at C-Skins. He will wear the suits going forward, providing effective feedback to the design team to help push the products forward.
Press Release: Wetsuit manufacturer C-Skins are thrilled to announce today that World Surf League (WSL) competitor Wade Carmichael has joined their International team.
Last year, Wade finished his best and most consistent year on the QS, grabbing a 3rdat both the Azores Airline Pro and Vans World Cup, and dropping in at 4thplace on the 2017 qualification rankings. Wade will spend the rest of the 2018 season going head-to-head against the world’s best.
Wade couldn’t be happier about coming into the C-Skins fold. “I’m super stoked to be on the C-Skins team and excited to be warm and flexible all year round in C-Skins rubber’ says the 25-year-old rookie. “I’ve worn the wetsuits in the past and they’ve always performed so well for me, so I feel really confident jumping back into them.”
Wade says, “I’m really enjoying myself right now, going to these first few events and learning a lot – it’s so exciting to see what’s ahead of me. Growing up and surfing in Avoca and around the south-central coast with guys like Wilko and Ace, I’m so happy to be following in the footsteps of so many great surfers.”
As an elite surfer, Wade understands the importance of having the right hardware around him – “Having full faith in my equipment is so important to me. Wearing C-Skins wetsuits on the colder stops on tour gives me a real advantage and great confidence to perform at my peak.”
“Wade is such a great fit for C-Skins,” explains Mark Brown, Technical Director at C-Skins. “Wade has always enjoyed wearing our suits and having Wade feedback to our design team will only help to move our products forwards, so we’re stoked to have him on board.”
Wade Carmichael’s contract starts immediately, and both are both looking forward to an exciting future.
