How does your sun cream directly appeal to those who partake in action sports?
During the development phase, our products were tested on world class athletes, in and out of competition. The requirement? They had to perform in the water or during exercise, as well as look and feel great in everyday life. I was able to recruit some of the best surfing athletes in the world to test our products.

What materials are you using? Any innovations to talk about?
We Are Feel Good Inc. uses a unique system of emollients (moisturisers) that essentially play the role of preservatives, in that they stop moisture getting into and microbes growing in our products. This has enabled us to remove commonly used sunscreen preservatives, such as parabens, alcohol-based preservatives and salicylic acid, that are common culprits for skin reactions.

Instead, we have emollient rich products with reduced chance of reactions, as well as maintaining a 3-year shelf life.

Any exciting marketing campaigns coming up for your product line?
Later this year, we will be shooting a brand campaign on Rottnest Island, a beautiful island just off the coast of Western Australia. The reason we chose Rottnest Island is that it resonates with our brand and our love for the outdoors and adventure. Stay tuned!

What other benefits, apart from sun protection, does your product offer?
Apart from providing broad spectrum UVA and UVB SPF 50+ protection, our sunscreens are also rich in emollients to hydrate and nourish your skin. They contain Aloe Vera which provides anti-inflammatory/antioxidant properties to help protect skin from UV and environmental damage, including pollution.

Vitamin E can also be found in our sunscreens which is another excellent antioxidant used for mopping up free radicals caused by UV rays and pollutants on our skin.

Why should retailers stock your brand & your latest collection?
Our brand is all about spreading the feel good. We created our products with our families in mind, that is, we wanted something they could use and totally trust. We created a product that felt good on our skin and didn’t leave that sticky feeling or white cast after application. We believe in our products and we believe they speak for themselves.

They have been rigorously tested and approved by the Australian Department of Health Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Australia has the highest level of sunscreen regulations in the world and is known as the world leader when it comes to sunscreen development. What POS are you heeling retailers out with?
Because we already stock in Australia and across Asia, we have a range of POS options for our retailers. This includes POS postcards for each of our products, backing boards and stands and stickers. Once the new campaign shoot is complete, we will also be working on updating all marketing and POS material.
