WeAreOnePeople: Universal Peace Gathering, Biarritz, March 20
In support of Ukraine, the Aide Médicale et Charitative France-Ukraine association has organised WeAreOnePeople, a gathering on Sunday afternoon in Biarritz in a call for universal peace.

Universal Peace Gathering in Biarritz in Support of Ukraine
Sunday, 20 March, 3pm at La Grande Plage, Biarritz
The words of a Ukrainian woman called Olena have inspired a movement – WeAreOnePeople. This brave woman is asking everyone to unite through her words of positivity and hope. Sunday’s gathering at the Grand Plage is destined to bring together families and children, in a spirit of sharing and community. All races, all religions, all people are welcome to show their commitment to peace on earth.
“I am proud to see today that the world is with Ukraine,” said Olena Chevchuk. “I am proud to see my country’s flag everywhere in the world. I beg you to continue like this. Continue with the message of peace everywhere.”
WeAreOnePeople anticipates bringing together nearly 2,000 people on the sand in Biarritz, a town renowned globally, having hosted the G7 in 2019. In the Basque Country, gatherings for peace are organized collectively with the assistance and coordination of local associations, clubs, public services and the general public.
Founded in 2014, and recognized for their quality work, the Aide Médicale et Charitative France-Ukraine association will be at the heart of this mobilization. For many years and particularly since the beginning of this war, this charity has strengthened solidarity across France, initiating a range of successful humanitarian projects including:
- Humanitarian convoys of medical equipment and consumables for hospitals, retirement homes and orphanages in Ukraine.
- Training for Ukrainian psychologists in a context of post-traumatic stress, exchanges of medical know-how.
- Sending 16 ambulance vehicles, 4 new trucks leave this week to deliver medical equipment to hospitals in Ukraine.
