WEST SNOWBOARDS F/W 2025/26 PREVIEW

Retail Buyers Guide:  Snowboards F/W 2025/26 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand:  West
Interviewee: DAV - FOUNDER

How was last season in the snowboard market?
Difficult

With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
As we were always more expensive because of smaller production and quantities now the difference between west and other “cheaper” brands is smaller. Also the costs of the material was especially noticed on the lower prices, but for the materials which was already expensive, the difference is smaller.

What are the major trends you’re seeing with product pricing in the snowboard market?
More competition between various raw materials

E-commerce Vs. physical retail, how are you balancing both channels?
Physical retails remain our main business and we are really glad to keep supporting them a lot

How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
Not overloading the online market by having almost no online retailers

What unique brand messages are you focusing on for the 2025/2026 snowboard season?
For the love of snowboarding (in it’s true and deep meaning)

SNOWBOARD SPECIFIC

Are you using any new materials in your hardware for 25/26? If so, what and why? We’re interested in anything new in inserts / edges / cores / sidewalls / glue / resin/ wood types / base material / top sheet / wax / etc..
Brand new brushed topsheet from isosport – certainly the most resistance (and expensive) topsheet on the market

Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
We keep it secret so far

Key Products:

UTOPIA:
We wanted a board super efficient on deeper days with the best maneuvrabilty possible so we designed a wider surface, 320mm nose width for the 156cm, a short tail slightly thiner for quicker turns and less drag. But we also wanted to be quick and precise and fun to ride on less deeper days, so it is designed with a relativly short sidecut for a powerful edge grip
