World Surf League Introduces VIP Experiences
Trialed at last year’s Quik Pro in Hossegor, the WSL have now rolled out their VIP experiences through a number of stops on the CT this year. Allowing the public to get closer to the athletes and the action, the passes also provide the customer with food and drink extras and entrance to premium experiences.
Customers will have a choice between the Atlas pass and the Odyssey pass. Although experiences and deals vary throughout different events, the Atlas pass acts as an access all areas, athlete meet and greet and free food and drinks pass, whereas the Odyssey pass sees the WSL turn travel agent, offering accommodation and a slew of premium experiences, such as their $10.5K packages to Tahiti. For the $10.5K, the customer will receive “a VIP Event and Travel experience. For the first time, we’re taking you deep inside the adventure of the tour with VIP experiences beyond the waves on a global journey of discovery.”
In Tahiti this will include:
-Private bungalows tucked into the jungle await you. Live like the locals do for the duration of the event window (Aug 21- Sept 1)
– Prime competition viewing from the channel on a VIP only catamaran
– Complimentary meals and drinks when the competition is ON
-Daily breakfast at your accommodations
-Two lay day activities that showcase the region (e.g snorkeling day w/ private group lunch, hiking the iconic mountains, exploring hidden coves and untouched beaches)
– Access to exclusive events, parties and concerts
– VIP Odyssey welcome bag
– An invitation to a personalized athlete mixer
