YES SNOWBOARDS F/W 2025/26 PREVIEW
Retail Buyers Guide: Snowboards F/W 2025/26 Retail Buyer’s Guide
Brand: Yes
Interviewee: Brand Manager
How was last season in the snowboard market?
Last season was challenging in many ways, the lack of snow in Europe, the economy slowing down and the inflation growing. This put a damper on the growth of many snowboard brands. So it hasn’t been the best so far but with the next winter that will provide record breaking snowfalls we should be all good.
With the recent overall price increases, have there been any positive developments in manufacturing, sourcing, or logistics?
I gave us the opportunity to rethink our board build for the whole line and with our development we’ve managed to optimize our production and absorb some of the increase in prices with better product builds.
What are the major trends you’re seeing with product pricing in the snowboard market?
We see a lot of kids moving away from resorts due to the excruciating cost of a lift pass and bringing their riding to the local streets and backyards. Also the group effect of riding with your friends is trending too.
E-commerce Vs. physical retail, how are you balancing both channels?
Both are equally important to the business; we work closely with all partners to have a healthy offer that doesn’t cannibalize one or the other.
How are you supporting retailers to sell this category?
We’ve consolidated our offer with bindings and are providing retailers with some unique technologies in our boards from 3D nose and tails to specific edge profiles. Our technologies really enhance the riding experience and provide an excellent snowboarding experience.
What unique brand messages are you focusing on for the 2025/2026 snowboard season?
Making snowboarding fun, we believe that riding is a fun activity that groups of riders do together on the mountain, in their gardens or anywhere where snow sticks. #YES is riding together having fun as a group of likeminded people.
SNOWBOARD SPECIFIC
What trends or developments are you seeing with regards to board construction, shapes, and general innovation? How is this shaping your 25/26 range?
There is a lot of playing around with 3D shapes in the market, some more functional than others, we have developed our own 3D profile on our nose and tails with the Hellgasson brothers that have been instrumental in fine tuning the profile. There is also a lot of development with the different fibre used in the construction. All our boards have an enhanced glass/flax/carbon fibre construction.
Anything new concerning sustainability and related products or construction you would like to highlight?
We use our full solar powered factory and are constantly looking for the most sustainable way to make our snowboards and Bindings.
Are you using any new materials in your hardware for 25/26? If so, what and why? We’re interested in anything new in inserts / edges / cores / sidewalls / glue / resin/ wood types / base material / top sheet / wax / etc..
WE are using new wood cores, we also have a new Flax and Carbon fibre in our boards that are there to enhance the rideability of our boards. We also have a new factory wax provider wend waxwork that is pre-waxing all of our boards. Finally our boards are all pre flexed and so we have a forever flex that doesn’t break down within the first few weeks.
Any new design or pattern approaches in your 25/26 gear? Any collabs on the line?
All our boards are designed by the team, we also have artists work with the riders to get some original artwork on the boards.
Are you planning to focus on a special product range or type of customers? What’s your newest range?
We are focussing on modern freestyle so anyone who uses his board to be creative on the mountain and to have as much fun in the air or on the ground.
